Time framed – Tomás Castro Neves

1800,00

“Time framed” is a piece composed of six modules in which the same figure is presented in different temporal planes. It seeks to represent the subtlety and speed of each moment, proposing that their juxtaposition suggests the continuity of our human experience. Inspired by film stills, it refers to the cumulative quality of reality and time. This conceptual figure, which is recognizable in the artist’s work, takes on a temporal dimension that embraces the potential for transformation in its most invisible and instantaneous form, that of the present moment.”

Artwork created for the exhibition CAMADAS at UMA galeria, 2026.
Acrylic and oil on 6 canvas.

Tomás Castro Neves (b. 1995, Lisbon) is a Portuguese artist whose work explores the human form, identity, and sensuality through drawing and painting. With a degree in Architecture from the University of Porto, his artistic practice blends rigor and expressive fluidity, often working with paper, canvas, acrylic, and oil.

With a distinctive approach to the male figure, and always starting from drawing, his work challenges perceptions of masculinity and emotion, building a recognizable identity cherished by collectors in Europe, Asia, and North America. Tomás Castro Neves currently lives and works in Lisbon.
