“The path as an integral part of the body of work. Covering the distance, finding the place, outlining the horizon is an essential exercise for the drawing to happen. Starting from the idea of cartography, the painting reveals, in a first layer, the space; in a second, an appropriation of the iconography characteristic of a map; and, in another, Norgren’s text. The frame, admittedly unbalanced and chromatically assertive, does not enclose the image in a neutral way: it underlines the fragmentary nature of the painting and reinforces the idea that it is a cutout of a larger territory, the result of continuous wandering. The work thus proposes a subjective cartography, where walking, drawing, and painting merge into the same gesture of appropriation of space.” Vasco Maio
