Vasco Maio (1983) is a visual artist based in Almada who works primarily in painting, drawing, illustration, and graphic design. With a degree in Communication Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon (FBAUL), he began his career in graffiti in 1998, developing an early connection with public spaces and the city.

In 2008, he began working as a graphic designer on projects mostly related to the cultural field. Since 2016, he has maintained a studio in Almada, where he develops his practice in visual arts and illustration, bringing together different areas of his work.

Vasco’s career includes participation in various urban art projects and the regular presentation of his work in solo and group exhibitions since 2001.

Vasco Maio showcased the solo exhibition MONASTÉRIO at Apaixonarte in 2025.
