Hilda Reis (Porto, 1972) finds her primary form of expression in collage.
In her studio in Miramar, near the city where she was born, she develops her work using lost photographs, ownerless albums, and all kinds of materials such as letters, magazines, lace, water bills, and anything else that might be found in a forgotten drawer. All works are unique and unrepeatable, always analog, and are intended as a tribute to lost, and orphaned photographs.
After living in Germany and Sweden for a decade, she returned to Portugal in 2017, beginning to exhibit regularly in national and international contexts, and is now represented in collections in various countries.
Hilda Reis showcased the solo exhibition ELA DEPOIS DE FAZER ESTRAGOS at Apaixonarte in 2025.
